Paula Norcott IBCLC

Hi Friends! I am Paula (she/her), lactation consultant with over 22 years experience serving breastfeeding parents. I have been a CLC for over 15 years and finally completed my my IBCLC certification after completing over 120 didactic hours through the University of California San Diego Extension program. I got my start in this work as a peer counselor for WIC in Plymouth Massachusetts in 1999. I ran support groups for the local hospital and completed my CLC training/certification there in 2005 and worked as a peer counselor for 10 years. I have continued to run support groups after moving to Maine 12 years ago,. I currently work in both the clinical, hospital setting and private settings. I have spent years going deep into tongue ties and how they affect not only feeding but maternal mental health. Frustrated by how maternal pain is brushed off and how slow infant gain is blamed on breastfeeding parents, I have made it my mission to help these families feel confident in their plan and their ability to feed their tiny humans.

My number one lesson in working with hundreds of families in New England? Every family is unique, every case is different, you never know the answers before having all of the information.

I am fueled by good coffee, great humor, and human connection. Running my own business has given me hustle and drive. Having five children has made me super flexible and humble. 27 years of parenting has made me a champion problem solver, time management master and queen of communication. Working with families has proven to me there isn't one right way to do anything. There is only the right way for that particular family in that particular situation. When I am not working with new families, I can be found scrolling through tik tok, pink drink in hand, learning how to keep houseplants alive.

nicole hart clc

Hi there, I'm Nicole (she/her), CLC and mom of three. Two things are true: breastfeeding is beautiful, AND it is incredibly challenging. I am passionate about supporting families to help them reach their individual feeding goals. My own breastfeeding journeys were anything but straightforward or easy. Tongue ties, painful nursing, weight gain anxiety, exclusive pumping, combo feeding, I’ve done it all! I know how hard you are working, and I believe in you. You deserve all the support!

I love chai tea, delicious food, and long cozy chats with girlfriends. My favorite way to relax is curled up on my couch with a good novel or binge-watching the Crown. More often, though, you’ll find me chasing or being chased by one of my three kids!

home visits

In the first few days after having your baby, oftentimes a lot of questions regarding feeding come up. Things are hazy during these days, and I am there to help you find your clarity and confidence.

In a home visit with me, we may discuss your feeding goals, work on latching/positions, address your concerns, bottle feed, or introduce formula. There is plenty to focus on-my goal is to help guide you to what your priorities are and problem solve together. These visits are perfect for new parents hoping to get feeding off to a smooth start.

When feeding issues prove to be more complex, I work closely with Paula and her team to coordinate care.

Please note that home visits are self-pay only at this time. Sliding scale available on request.
